- Let us study about whole numbers integers rational numbers. Whole numbers are the numbers that includes all values starts from 0 to infinity as (0, 1, 2, 3, 4…) without fractions.
- Integers are defined as the numbers, it includes both negative and positive numbers as (-2, -1, 0, 1, 2…) fractions.
- Rational numbers are said to be simple fractional values as `a/b` where ‘b’ should not be equal to ‘0’.
Examples of Whole Numbers integers rational numbers:
Example 1:
- In the following number series (-3, -2.5, `-2/1` , 0, `1/2` , 1, 3, 5, 7) find the whole numbers and list it out separately?
- Given number series is (-3, -2.5, `-2/1` , 0, `1/2` , 1, 3, 5, 7)
- The whole numbers present in the given number series are (0, 1, 3, 5, 7) since it does not include any negative values or decimal values or fractional values.
- In the following number series (-5, -4, -3, -2.5, `-2/1` , 0, `1/2` , 1, 2, 3) find the integers numbers and list it out separately?
- Given number series is (-5, -4, -3, -2.5, `-2/1` , 0, `1/2` , 1, 2, 3).
- The integers numbers present in the given number series are (-5, -4, -3, 0, 1, 2, 3). Since it does not include any decimal values or fractional values but it includes both positive and negative values.
- In the following number series (-5, -4, -3, -2.5, `-2/1` , 0, `1/2` , 1, 2, 3.5) find the rational numbers and list it out separately?
- Given number series is (-5, -4, -3, -2.5, `-2/1` , 0, `1/2` , 1, 2, 3.5).
- The rational numbers present in the given number series are (-2.5, `-2/1` , `1/2` , 3.5). Since it does not include any whole numbers or integer values but it includes both decimal and fractional values.
- The decimal values -2.5 and 3.5 can also be represented as `-25/10` or `-5/2 ` and `35/10 ` or `7/2` . Therefore it too comes under the rational numbers category.
- In the following number series (-7, -6, -5.2, -4, `-3/2` , -2.5, `-2/1` , 0, `1/2` , 1, 2, 3.5, 4, 5) find the rational numbers, whole number and integer values and list them out separately?
